Google AdSense going using a blog

What Is Google AdSense?

Google AdSense is a free program offered by Google that places ads on your website or blog, and every time a visitor clicks on one of those ads, you get money for it. Sound too good to be true? Well it is amazing but it's not as easy as it sounds.

The biggest problem when it comes to making money off Google AdSense is getting people to come to your website/blog. You absolutely cannot just ask people to click the ads, that will only get you banned! You also can't whip something up real quick and start using AdSense and expect to get rich, or make anything for that matter. Your blog or website gets checked by a webmaster before Google will allow you to use the AdSense program to make sure your website or blog post has good content on it.

For those of you who are interested, I'm going to explain step-by-step how to set up and get your AdSense going using a blog.

This guide is going to go completely off using Blogger. It's ran by Google and makes getting AdSense up a breeze. If you're not using blogger then you won't find much use out of this guide. If you want to use your own website or another blogging site then simply visit www.google.com/adsense and set up your AdSense that way.

Now when your signing up you will come across a page that looks like this

This is where you need to decide what your going to be writing about. Choose something you have a lot of knowledge about, something people will want to read. It's
important that your blog title and URL actually have something to do with what your writing about.

Next choose your template.

Now you will come to a page that looks like t
his

This is where you will be writing about whatever topic you choose. Try to do as best as you can. It's important you make it as interested as possible, as long as it contains some good well written content you should be fine. Write a good 5-10 paragraphs, use the spell check, look it over a few times and then hit publish post.

View your post and make sure everything looks fine and how you want it to. If you need to change something, click the posting tab, then click edit posts.

If you're ready to start using Google AdSense, then click the "Monetize" tab.

Follow the instructions to get set up. A webmaster will come check your blog within 48 hours (usually a lot sooner) and check to see if it has good content, and then either approve or reject your AdSense request. As long as you offer some good content it's simple to get approved.

As soon as your AdSense account is approved your Monetize tab should now look like this.

You can customize where the ads will go on your page, how big they are, and what color they are, which can all make a big difference when it comes to people clicking them. I won't get into that but you can find other guides on the Internet that give you tips.

You're basically finished, but you're at the hardest part now. It's time to advertise your blog and get traffic to your website. To be successful it's important you update your blog regularly with new content. You can also create multiple blogs(not duplicates) and have ads on each one to maximize your potential earnings. There are many free websites in which you can advertise your blog. It can be hard to get a lot of traffic to your website, but with time, dedication, and patience you can't fail.

Never tell people to go to your blog/website to click your ads unless you want banned from AdSense.

I hope you found this guide useful, feel free to leave your opinion in the comments below on what you liked or thought I could have improved on in this guide, or what you would like to see.
